It seems to me to be a driver incompatibility issue, caused primarily by old age. I have a lightly modified Sony Vaio VPCEG36FX. The last two being through Steam, if that would make a difference. The games I have found that have this issue so far are Minecraft, Destination Sol, and Sinking Simulator. Every time I try to open them, they return an error message or leave a message in the logs that consistently mentions how the program couldn’t open a window due to a problem with OpenGL. I’m having trouble with a few games not launching correctly.
